This rifle falls outside that serial range.Īccording to one source (Richard Hobbs), production continued into the RA block, although rifles with this prefix have not been shown or mentioned by reporting collectors. While Terni's production of the M41 appears to have ceased in late 1943 or early 1944, it is believed that Armaguerra continued to produce or assemble rifles from parts while under German supervision, and at least up until 31 October 1944, ending with the QZ block. Armaguerra Cremona and RE Terni were the only factories that made the Model 41, and most are believed to have never been issued due to the usually excellent condition in which they were found.
